Cooking Instructions
- Thaw overnight in the refrigerator. This is important — the ingredients will self-marinate as they thaw, enhancing flavor.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Set aside mashed potatoes and cheese. Dump all remaining ingredients into the bottom of an oven-ready pan. Add 1/2 cup of water and spread into an even layer.
- Spread mashed potatoes in an even layer on top.
- Cover with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165° F.
- Uncover and add cheese to the top. Bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted.
